Chandler Way Assisted Living offers residential assisted living with all the comforts of home, not an institutional environment. Our lovely 4,000 sq. foot residential care home is situated in the prestigious Lake Highlands area of Dallas. We are within 3 miles of both Presbyterian and Medical City Dallas Hospitals, physician offices, shopping and numerous restaurants. Central Expressway/Hwy. 75 and LBJ/I635 are only 5 minutes away.
We encourage our residents to bring their own bedroom furniture, pictures and mementos to decorate their rooms. Chandler Way is their home "away from home" and having their own special things nearby eases the transition into a new home. There's even room for a favorite chair...
Our residents enjoy their time socializing with friends and family in the bright, sky-lit garden room. The large, paneled great room is a wonderful gathering place for movie watching on the 52" TV. We offer a full range of activities tailored to our residents' interests and capabilities in our activities room. The formal dining room is the perfect setting for meals and our birthday and various holiday celebrations.
The beautiful cottage garden, with its flower-bedecked brick patio, is a favorite spot to relax with a cup of tea or coffee. Watching our resident squirrels at play is a favorite activity. Our bird bath and feeder are often the scene of "standing room only" as our variety of feathered friends come by for their daily visits. Fun and laughter abound during our barbeques and patio parties.
Chandler Way is a licensed Type "B" assisted living and a certified Alzheimer's / Dementia care facility by the Department of Aging and Disability Services of the State of Texas.
Our direct care staff are well trained and experienced in the care of residents with multiple medical conditions and the various types of dementia.
